The KT172 shares its superior Waterless Cooking attributes with its sibling KT17--Waterless Cooking at its best! The KT172 hosts a weighted knob (instead of vented knob) and for seasoned waterless cooks this knob is ample. A light flutter of the cover tells you it is time to reduce heat to a low simmer. Due to 7-ply, 9-element T304 Surgical Stainless Steel construction, these pots and pans retain heat on low temp settings--the perfect waterless conditions to complete the cooking cycle while preserving nature's healthy vitamins and minerals. The KT172 uses capped rivets to secure heat resistant phenolic handles--the only other difference with its KT17 twin. Otherwise, the KT172 features all the benefits of its higher-priced sibling--premium Waterless Cooking fundamentals at a significantly lower price point.
